When I'm feeling tired, this is my favourite drink. Ginger and fruit give me energy, flaxseeds some nice omega-3s, but let's be honest - it also cheers me up just because of how pretty it looks! 😍😋
5-10gfresh gingerdepending on how spicy you want it
1tablespoonground flaxseeds
100mloat drinkunsweetened
Instructions
Wash and peal fresh ginger.
Put all ingredients except oat drink into a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a tall glass until 2/3 full.
Top the glass off with oat drink.
Mix just a bit (to preserve two colours) and enjoy immediately.
Tips and Info
To get the most of flaxseed, buy them whole and grind them (in a blender or a coffee grinder) just before use or twice a week and keep in a closed glass container in the refrigerator. This way omega-3 fatty acids are best preserved. If you wish for a less sweet drink, leave the banana out and add more berries instead. :)
