This nutty cashew vegan “parmesan cheese” is perfect to sprinkle over any sauce, pasta, or even bread. I just love its nutty taste. 🙂 It is not exactly an original recipe, I have seen it on many other vegan blogs and adapted it to my taste.
Nutty Cashew Vegan “Parmesan Cheese”
This nutty cashew vegan "parmesan cheese" is perfect to sprinkle over any sauce, pasta, or even bread. I just love its nutty taste. 🙂
Equipment
- Blender or Food Procesor
Ingredients
- 100 g cashew nuts
- 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp red pepper powder
- a pinch of smoked paprika optional
- ½ tsp garlic powder optional
Instructions
- Grind all ingredients in a food processor or blender until they resemble bread crumbs. Be careful not to overprocess, as it may turn into a paste-like texture.
